Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care for a 206-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term care facility. Qualified candidates will have RI nursing licensure eligibility, an active BLS CPR certification, and at least 5 years of nursing experience including 2 years in supervision.

• Assist in development and evaluation of policies based on clinical needs.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to unit staff.
• Monitor care plans and compliance with regulations and standards.

Full-time, days (Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM)

Range: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.

• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.

• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.

• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.

• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.

• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of Rhode Island.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
