RN UNIT MANAGER

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Maintaining and restoring the health of resident patients.
  2. Acting as the main point of contact between residents and their families.
  3. Addressing and preventing concerns from family members.
  4. Assisting in developing, implementing, and adjusting patient care plans as needed.
  5. Supervising, counseling, and disciplining nurse staff to ensure the highest quality care.
  6. Ensuring the unit meets federal and state regulatory standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  7. Collaborating with the Director of Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians to plan and maintain resident care.
  8. Completing admission and discharge assessments.
  9. Overseeing and auditing changes made to care plans.
  10. Delivering hands-on care and medicine distribution as needed.
  11. Auditing and completing charting, evaluations, medical forms, and other administrative tasks.
  12. Identifying procedural problems and working with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues.
  13. Evaluating, prioritizing, and meeting the care needs of each resident.
  14. Occasional weekends may be required.
