Job summary

The Laurels of Hendersonville is seeking an Unit Manager to lead and educate skilled nursing staff in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. You will supervise RNs, LPNs and CNAs, ensure adherence to nursing procedures, and drive quality care across shifts.

This role involves reviewing procedures, contributing to care plans and MDS/CAA assessments, and optimizing nursing workflows. CPR certification and leadership experience in long-term care are preferred, with a focus on teamwork and

• Current CPR certification.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN, CNA and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate quality guest care and staff performance.
• Uses a systematic nursing process to provide individualized care.
• Contributes to guest assessments (MDS/CAA) and care plan development.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands rationale for medications and treatments and administers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rational for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
