Job summary

The Laurels of Greentree Ridge is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing care and health education for our skilled nursing guests. This leadership role focuses on supervising RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and others, while overseeing procedures and the delivery of quality care.

The position emphasizes teaching and mentoring staff to uphold high standards of patient safety and comfort in a long-term care setting. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Asheville facility.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification is required or highly desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
• Leadership and teaching skills to guide nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rational for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.
