Voorhees Pediatric Facility is recruiting a Full-time Unit Manager to lead our Pediatric Nursing Team in Voorhees, NJ. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, staffing optimization, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

The Unit Manager will oversee daily operations, mentoring nursing staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation across EMR systems. 40-hour weeks, Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Current NJ RN licensure OR Current NJ LPN Licensure.
• Minimum of two years in Nursing Management/Supervisor role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred or Specialty certification.
• Minimum two years’ pediatric experience, preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of high-quality pediatric nursing care and ensure individualized services.
• Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, scheduling, and coverage based on acuity.
• Provide leadership and coaching to nursing staff through rounds and competency development.
• Monitor documentation and EMR requirements for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote infection prevention and adherence to policies and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective care.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Unit Manager to join our skilled Pediatric Nursing Team in Voorhees, NJ.

Full-time | 10 hour shifts| No Weekends

Position Summary: The Unit Manager holds accountability and responsibility for the operations of their assigned area. This includes planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the clinical, personnel, and administrative activities of the unit. The nurse manager participates in operationalizing the strategic and business plans and the Our VPF initiatives. This includes: human resource management, cost control, quality and safety (High Reliability Organization/Just Culture), growth and customer service (family/person centered care).

The Unit Manager daily responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while ensuring services are individualized to the needs of pediatric residents and their families.
• Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, scheduling, and coverage to maintain appropriate staffing levels and skill mix based on resident acuity and department needs.
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff through daily rounds, huddles, performance management, coaching, education, and ongoing competency development.
• Monitor clinical documentation, assessments, care plans, medication and treatment records, and electronic medical record requirements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Promote compliance with infection prevention standards, facility policies, NJDHSS requirements, Joint Commission standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and other departments to support effective communication, continuity of care, resident safety, and positive clinical outcomes.

Position Qualifications:

Schedule:

Compensation:

• LPN Certification: $85,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
• RN Certification: $109,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year,
• Salary based on 40 hours per week.
