Job summary

Voorhees Pediatric Facility in Voorhees Township, NJ, seeks a Bancroft School Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team and coordinate student healthcare in our pediatric program.

This 40-hour/week role requires a BSN, NJ RN license, School Nurse Certification, CPR, and strong communication. Compensation is $90,000 per year with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current NJ RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Manage nursing staff: recruitment, scheduling, evaluations, development.
• Maintain student health records, immunizations, histories and referrals.
• Ensure infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with administrators, families, and providers to coordinate care.
• Monitor quality improvement and manage budgets and resources.

Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) is a nationally recognized pediatricspecialty care center with 119 inpatient beds and the largest freestandingpediatric ventilator program in the country. VPF is Joint Commission–accreditedat the highest level and provides care for medically fragile children acrossinpatient, rehabilitation, medical daycare, and educational programs throughThe Bancroft School at VPF. We deliver care through a collaborative,interdisciplinary team focused on the whole child.

As the Bancroft Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Oversight of the daily nursing department operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care for students with diverse medical and developmental needs.


• Management of nursing staff, including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, payroll, staff assignments, and professional development.


• Maintaining accurate student health records, medical histories, immunization records, screenings, referrals, and required documentation in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.


• Ensuring compliance with infection control standards, clinical policies and procedures, emergency protocols, and NJ Department of Health and Joint Commission requirements.


• Collaborating with school administrators, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate student care, communicate health concerns, and support individualized healthcare needs.


• Monitoring quality improvement initiatives, oversee nursing practices, manage departmental budgets and resources, and promote a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate care environment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bancroft School Nurse Manager assumes accountability andresponsibility for the operations of nursing staff in the Bancroft School; inconcert with the Bancroft leadership team. This includes planning, development,implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the clinical, personnel, andadministrative activities. This is a five day a week position, Monday throughFriday. The Bancroft School Nurse Manager will participate in theoperationalization of the strategic and business plans of Our VPF initiatives,as well as The Bancroft School. This includes: human resource management, costcontrol, quality and safety (High Reliability Organization/Just Culture),growth and customer service (family/person centered care

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursingfrom an accredited school of nursing
