Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Texas is seeking a Unit Manager to lead a clinical unit and supervise staff. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliant healthcare delivery, and coordinate with administrators and stakeholders to achieve quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus three years of supervisory experience OR seven years total experience.
• Experience leading a unit in healthcare is preferred.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Position Description

Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions

The Unit Manger serves as the primary on-site operational leader of the unit, responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality healthcare delivery through effective leadership, regulatory oversight, and performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years of supervisory experience OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a correctional facility.
