Job summary

EVONA in Austin, TX seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead Ka-band AESA development for space payloads. You will own the architecture, design, integration, and flight readiness, guiding a multidisciplinary team across RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, software and systems engineering.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep RF antenna expertise, and proven ability to deliver hardware to production and flight qualification, with strong customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience with active phased array antennas and RF electronics is essential.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering hardware to production and flight qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of Ka-band AESA/phased array systems.
• Own architecture, design, prototyping, integration, test and flight readiness.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, software and systems engineering.
• Oversee antenna and board-level RF electronics development and payload interfaces.
• Direct testing activities including EIRP/G/T measurements and environmental qualification.
