Job summary

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX seeks a Unit Director-Outside Units to lead community youth programs and manage resources across multiple clubs. You will supervise volunteers and staff, build partnerships with schools, and drive city-wide events in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club.

You will implement budgets, prepare reports and grants, and recruit participants while maintaining flexible hours to cover weekends and afternoons as needed. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s in Youth Development or related field preferred.
• Two to three years of youth development management experience.
• Valid Texas class C driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• May require Class B license with passenger endorsement within 3 months.
• Pre-employment drug testing may be required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist VP of Operations in setting goals, allocating resources and policies.
• Supervise volunteers, seasonal and part-time staff at all club sites.
• Develop school partnerships with principals, teachers and PTOs.
• Implement city-wide events, training staff, budgeting, grants and recruitment.
• Maintain flexibility for weekends/afternoons and adapt to new challenges.
