Job summary

City of Edinburg is seeking a Unit Director-Outside Units to lead and coordinate resource development, partnerships with schools, and supervise volunteers across club sites in Edinburg, TX. You will plan events, manage staff, and ensure programs align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor Degree in Youth Development, Social services or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years' experience in youth development management.
  • Three (3) years of experience in youth development management.
  • Must have a current valid class C driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
  • May be requested to obtain a Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement within 3 months of employment.
  • Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV expense.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Vice President of Operations in developing organizational goals, attaining and allocating resources, and establishing policies, rules and regulation.
  • Supervises volunteers, seasonal and part-time employees at all club sites as assigned.
  • Develop, manage and maintain a strong relationship with school administration (Principals, teachers, PTOs) to ensure ongoing partnerships between Club and School.
  • Implement city wide special events, supervising, training and developing staff, marketing, general office administration duties, purchasing.
  • Assist in preparing yearly budget, periodic reports, work programs, grants, and participant recruitment.
  • Must have flexible hours to be able to work on weekends and afternoons as assigned.

The Unit Director-Outside Units position earns competitive pay of $ 18.14 /hourly. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A UNIT DIRECTOR-OUTSIDE UNITS
  • High School Diploma
