Job summary

City of Edinburg is seeking a Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator to oversee donor relationships, fundraising events, and sponsorship tracking. The role involves project management, collaboration with community agencies, and maintaining records in the donor database to generate insightful reports.

You will help manage campaigns from planning to execution and support leadership with various development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required education: Associates degree in Communication, Social Services, Youth Development, Education, business, or related field.
  • Education Substitute: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required experience: 1-2 years of experience in administrative, donor relations, or non-profit development settings.
  • Experience preference: Four (4) years of experience in youth development management.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Must have a current and valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain donor relationships, fundraising events, and track event sponsorships.
  • Manage development projects, including planning, coordinating, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring progress.
  • Maintain donor database records and generate reports.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for general projects assigned by leadership.
  • Collaborate with divisions within the department as needed.

The Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator position earns competitive pay of $18.14 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEVELOPMENT & DONOR ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

As a Development & Donor Engagement Coordinator, you assist in maintaining donor relationships, fundraising events, and tracking event sponsorships. Your work typically involves project management, collaboration with community agencies, maintaining accurate records in the donor database, and generating reports. Managing development projects, such as fundraising events or campaigns to include planning, coordinating, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring work and project progress generally are a major part of the day. Your job is essential to the city, and you maintain active communication with our donors. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include assisting in administrative and operational support for general projects assigned by leadership.

You enjoy being helpful and have no problem aiding and support to all divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in customer service, communication, and you find genuine enjoyment in what you do!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DEVELOPMENT & DONOR ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
  • Required education: Associates degree in Communication, Social Services, Youth Development, Education, business, or related field.
    • Education Preference: Bachelor degree in Communication, Social Services, Youth Development, Education, business, or related field.
  • Education Substitute: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required experience: One to two (1-2) years of experience in administrative, donor relations, or non-profit development settings.
    • Experience preference: Four (4) years of experience in youth development management.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Must have a current and valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
    • May be requested to obtain a Class "B" driver's license with passenger endorsement.
