Job summary

City of Edinburg is actively seeking a dedicated RECREATION LEADER to perform and oversee the operations of youth development programs or recreational activities. The position involves leading programs, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth facility operations to serve the community.

The role includes coordinating registrations, planning year-round events, maintaining facilities, and providing information on programs and regulations to participants.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in track and field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of youth development and recreational programs and activities.
• Supervise volunteer staff and maintain safety and order.
• Provide information on programs, registration, and regulations.
• Assist in planning year-round recreation and events.
• Maintain facilities and inventory; handle monthly supplies.
• Engage with the public and support other divisions as needed.
