The Opportunity - Unit Coordinator Surgery Unit Ellison 7

Ellison 7 is a fast-paced, 36-bed adult inpatient trauma/surgical unit where cutting-edge interventions are performed. Patients come from around the world for specialized care, recovering from various surgeries, mainly abdominal and cancer surgeries.

Schedule

• 40 hours a week
• Day/Evening rotating shifts
• 7:00 am - 7:00 pm and 11:00 am - 11:00 pm OR 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Job Summary

• Provide administrative support to clinicians and staff, acting as a liaison between patients, visitors, and staff.
• Organize priorities, complete tasks timely, and handle confidential patient information.
• Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, in partnership with nursing staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.
• Other duties as assigned, varying by department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Unit Coordinator Certification preferred.
• 2-3 years administrative support experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office, office procedures, and medical terminology.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
