Responsibilities

• Demonstrates effective communication/customer service.
• Receives visitors and provides information; delivers messages.
• Interacts with health care team to meet needs.
• Answers calls and notifies clinicians.
• Greets visitors respectfully; considers cultural needs.
• Provides information about hospital services and city information.
• Maintains waiting area and records in visitation log.
• Reports problems to supervisor or security.
• Performs clerical duties and coordinates area communication.
• Greets entrants and issues visitor ID stickers.
• Participates in Quality Improvement.
• Respiratory fit testing as required.
