Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience as Unit Clerk/PCT in behavioral health preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties (order entry, telephone management, unit organization, etc.)
• Assists HIM department with breaking down charts and scanning finalized product.
• Assists with providing staff breaks and filling in on the floor as a Patient Care Tech when needed.
• Assists in all codes in any capacity needed.
• Is responsible for census updates.
• Is responsible for communication to schools for admission, discharge, and weekly updates.
• Travels to other facilities as needed and/or as instructed.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.
