Job summary

MU Health Care's Integrated Medicine unit in Columbia, MO is seeking an on-site greeter to welcome patients, visitors, and staff on a 12-hour shift pattern. This 24-bed unit emphasizes safety and patient-centered care, with care team colleagues including nurse techs, milieu specialists, therapy professionals, and physicians.

The role supports unit operations, patient comfort, and coordination of daily activities, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment and maintaining records and unit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional licenses/certifications as determined by the hiring department may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs patients, visitors, and employees with courtesy and respect.
• Provide administrative and clerical support for the assigned unit including transcribing and processing physician orders.
• Maintain unit station and common areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Answer phones, direct calls and take messages for physicians, nurses, and staff.
• Coordinate paperwork for the unit, including admissions/discharge logs, census logs, patient medical records.
