Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a unit coordinator for the nursing unit. The role supports planning, organizing, and evaluating activities on the unit under supervision of the Clinic Nurse Manager or Clinic Administrator.

The position notes hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities including clerical duties, scheduling, and data entry to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Uses office equipment efficiently (phone, fax, copy machine, computer).
• Works as a team member and communicates clearly with patients and staff.
• Follows safety rules, code of conduct, and hospital policies.
• Familiarity with computers and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in the computer system.
• Schedule appointments and tests, and obtain prior authorizations.
• Serve as unit receptionist and answer phones with service excellence.
• Input data into ordering systems and coordinate with ancillary services.
