Job summary

McLaren Health in Michigan seeks a Pediatric/unit clerk with CNA background to provide receptionist and secretarial support on the 2 Progressive Care Unit. You will assist with basic patient care, maintain privacy and dignity, and support nurses in daily tasks.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, Nurse Aide training or CNA experience, BLS certification, and basic computer/data entry skills. Prior unit clerk experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nurse Aide training program or 6 months experience as Nursing Assistant or fundamentals if enrolled in an Accredited School of Nursing program required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer required.
• Data entry experience required.
• Medical terminology knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly rounding focusing on Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions.
• Answer phones and call lights promptly and relay information to staff as needed.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care (beds, baths, feeding, oral care, vitals, weights, glucose testing) and support safe, clean environment.
