Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with medical terminology.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN with implementation of an age-appropriate plan of care through tasks routinely delegated by the RN.
• Provide clerical and data management services for the Patient Care Unit under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Provide unit-based medical records duties and coordinate unit needs.
