Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 495-bed hospital serving Amarillo and the surrounding region. We provide patient-centered care with advanced technology in a friendly, smaller-town atmosphere.

This role provides clerical and data management services for the Patient Care Unit under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and supports compassionate, safe patient care. Responsibilities include assisting the RN with age-appropriate care plans, maintaining unit records, and coordinating unit needs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of typing test is required.
• Experience with medical terminology or Health Unit Coordinator coursework is preferred.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance is required.
• HWC and Verbal De-escalation training within 30 days of hire is required.
• Must possess one of the following: CNA, EMT, LVN/ADN/BSN student, or Medical Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and data management support for the Patient Care Unit under RN supervision.
• Assist the RN with age-appropriate plan of care and maintain unit records, ensuring safety and service excellence.
