Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Patient Care Support Clerk to assist the RN in delivering age-appropriate care and to handle unit clerical duties. You will help implement care plans, maintain professional conduct, and ensure a safe, patient-centered environment on the unit.

The role requires completion of a health unit coordinator program or equivalent training, CNA/EMT/BSN options, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; health terminology familiarity preferred.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator course or CNA/EMT related training expected.
• Current BLS certification and ability to maintain certification throughout employment.
• Experience with medical terminology and patient care support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with implementation of an age-appropriate care plan and delegated tasks.
• Maintain professional behavior and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff.
• Provide clerical support, manage unit medical records, and coordinate needs.
