About Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)

Located in Bolivar, MO, CMH is hiring an Unit Clerk to join our Emergency Department. CMH comprises 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. We offer a wide range of services including acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies, and more, serving our community comprehensively.

Bolivar is situated in the Ozarks, offering a hometown feel with affordable housing options such as rentals or apartments. About the department

The CMH Emergency Department is a 12-bed unit, recognized as a Level III Trauma Center, Level III Stroke Center, Level II STEMI Center, and Acute Stroke Ready Center. We deliver prompt, quality care including assessment, intervention, evaluation, and referral to all patients presenting to the ED.

A typical day includes

• Providing excellent care to Emergency Department patients and supporting clinical staff in maintaining a clean, efficient environment.
• Utilizing interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as a team.
• Assisting in providing safe, appropriate patient care.
• Documenting accurately in the Emergency Department records.
• Maintaining a clean, pleasant environment for patient care.
• Performing equipment inventory and ensuring proper placement.
• Maintaining and scanning necessary documentation into patient charts, such as consents, directives, and discharge forms.
• Communicating patient information effectively to ED staff and patients.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year emergency department experience preferred
• Skills in organization, multitasking, and working in a fast-paced environment
• CPI Training at appropriate level within one year, renewed annually
• Physical ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods

Position details

Full-time Night shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
