Job summary

Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Unit Associate to support nursing staff by stocking Pyxis and supply carts, checking expirations, restocking rooms, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

The position is full-time for evening shifts (Mon–Fri, 3pm–11:30pm) with benefits including health plans, PTO, tuition reimbursement for you and dependents, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergencies and follow procedures.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies and procedures is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication to interact with staff, patients, families and colleagues.
• General office and basic computer skills (keyboard, Windows) are expected.

Responsibilities

• Stock items to Pyxis and supply carts and restock rooms.
• Monitor expiration dates on items and maintain shelf life.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked with supplies and linens.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and restock supply rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support nursing staff.

Shift

Full time/ 40 Hours/ Evenings. Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm, no weekends.

The Unit Associate is responsible for a wide variety of tasks that help to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services to our patients. This is a fast-paced position where the associate will be required to work in collaboration with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator. Daily tasks include, stocking items to Pyxis and supply carts, monitoring expiration dates on items, ensuring that patient rooms are properly stocked with supplies and linens, restocking supply rooms, maintaining a clean work environment and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures
• Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplied and procedures (highly preferred)
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
• General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

Salary Range:

Minimum 17.07/hour - Maximum 19.81/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
