Job summary

LHH US is partnering with a company in the Bremerton, WA area to identify a temporary to hire Payroll Coordinator. This role supports a union workforce and collaborates with HR and Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have a few years of payroll experience, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with UKG. This position offers competitive hourly pay and room to grow within a dynamic payroll operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Experience with UKG or a similar payroll system.
• Understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to interpret labor agreements and payroll policies.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll for approximately 400 employees.
• Interpret union contracts to ensure accurate pay, deductions, and benefits.
• Review and resolve payroll issues related to employee leave and payroll discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll data, audits, and reporting within UKG.
• Research and troubleshoot payroll and timekeeping issues.
• Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
