The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of payroll experience, with emphasis in union construction payroll considered a plus and experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of payroll experience required; union construction payroll is a plus.
• Experience processing construction payroll preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or other large software vendors preferred.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use Excel to manipulate and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly union payroll and ensure accuracy of earnings, deductions, and taxes.
• Coordinate with field management to collect union payroll information and ensure completeness.
• Create and update union employee records in ERP systems; reflect severance, termination, and disciplinary data.
• Review time entries for errors before payroll processing and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly union remittances and reconcile liabilities with payments.
• Prepare reports and respond to payroll inquiries, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Submit new hire reports to state agencies; process child support and court orders when needed.
