Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) in Colorado is seeking a Union Payroll Specialist to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for union and prevailing-wage work.

You will work across Payroll, HR, Operations, and Project Accounting to translate collective bargaining requirements into payroll setup, reporting, and remittance. The role emphasizes auditing, wage determinations, and project-specific labor requirements, with collaboration across departments to maintain audit-ready records

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience processing payroll in the electrical, construction or related industries is preferred.
• Knowledge of union and prevailing-wage environments and payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OCIP/CCIP reporting for active projects and maintain wrap-up program records.
• Administer union dues, fringe benefits, and trust contributions per collective bargaining agreements; reconcile deductions.
• Coordinate and ensure certified payroll reporting for prevailing-wage/public works projects with proper documentation.
• Establish wage rates, fringe rates, and job classifications in payroll systems for new projects.
• Translate finalized MOU terms into payroll actions and monitor changes in wages and contributions.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication between Payroll and HR on union-related payroll matters.
