Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. You will handle weekly union payroll and biweekly non-union payroll, while maintaining compliance with union agreements and regulatory requirements.

You will review timesheets with field leaders and HR, maintain payroll records, assist onboarding, and support audits. The role focuses on accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing or a related field.
• Excel proficiency required.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards and Kofax preferred.
• Experience processing union payroll preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly union payroll and biweekly non-union payroll in compliance with IBEW labor agreements and applicable regional requirements.
• Review and validate timesheets, collaborating with field leadership, project teams, and HR to ensure accuracy in hours, classifications, and job costing.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee status changes, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
• Support onboarding by entering and verifying payroll-related information for new hires.
