Jobot is hiring a Union Payroll Manager in Long Beach, CA for a permanent, on-site role overseeing weekly payroll for ~500 employees. The role covers union payroll, benefits contributions, and compliance with federal and state wage laws.

The ideal candidate will lead payroll processes, ensure accuracy, and collaborate with Finance and HRIS teams. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan with match.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees across California.
• Oversee the full-cycle payroll process for hourly and salaried employees, including review and approval of hours and timecards.
• Manage complex union payroll and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, including union dues, fringe benefits, pension contributions, health and welfare contributions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, California state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Manage payroll requirements related to prevailing wage, certified payroll, public works projects, and union agreements, as applicable.
• Review and validate payroll reports and work closely with Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts, labor costs, and payroll accruals.
• Maintain accurate employee, compensation, and payroll information within the company’s HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
• Coordinate payroll tax reporting, garnishments, benefits withholdings, retirement contributions, and other employee deductions.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop and maintain strong payroll controls, processes, procedures, and documentation.
