Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services in Rockford, IL seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate machinery for utility installation and maintenance. You will locate underground utilities, review blueprints, and guide pipe/cable installation with safety and efficiency in mind.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, Class A CDL, willingness to travel, and ability to lift 20+ pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rubber tire tractor preferred.
• Experience with backhoes, skid loaders, dozers, sidebooms, vibratory plow preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while operating heavy machinery.

• Utilize machines for placement and removal of dirt/debris.
• Guide and install pipe and cable using machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with Laborer duties as needed.

• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Utilize different machines for placement and removal of dirt/debris.
• Use machinery to guide and install pipe and cable.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with Laborer jobs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
