Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon/Five Star Energy Services/M&C Utility, Wisconsin-based, seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to support construction and utility projects.

You will operate rubber tire tractors and other machines to move dirt, install pipes, and locate underground utilities while following safety procedures.Requirements include a High School Diploma, a Class A CDL, willingness to travel, and the ability to bend, kneel, stand, and lift 20+ pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Must be able to stand/bend/kneel for long periods.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery safely.
• Locate underground utilities before starting work.
• Review blueprints or specs to determine work.
• Use machines for dirt placement and removal.
• Install pipe and cable using machinery.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Assist with laborer tasks as needed.

Essential Job Duties

• Locate underground utility services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Utilize different machines for placement and removal of dirt/debris.
• Use machinery to guide and install pipe and cable.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with Laborer jobs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Class A CDL required
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 20+ pounds regularly
• Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience operating rubber tire tractor
• Experience operating other machines (IE backhoes, skid loaders, dozers, sidebooms, vibratory plow etc.) preferred
