Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Union Mobile HVAC Engineer to support a retail portfolio across New Jersey. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform preventive maintenance and respond to service requests at multiple sites, keeping buildings safe, efficient, and comfortable.

You’ll inspect, operate, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems, using a CMMS like Corrigo to document work in real time. Strong customer service and the ability to work independently in the field are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• 3–5 years of building engineering experience (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• EPA Universal Certification or obtained within 90 days; valid licenses.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for building systems and equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
• Follow safety procedures, complete hazard assessments, and comply with OSHA and local regulations.
