About The Role

As a CBRE Union Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, supporting equipment and systems maintenance and repairs.

What You’ll Do

• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Perform daily repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance; maintain records of upkeep and repairs.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and order necessary supplies.
• Assist with installation and modification of building systems; troubleshoot and repair plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and other systems.
• Inspect new installations for code and safety compliance.
• Maintain lighting systems and property grounds, including cleaning fixtures, replacing bulbs, raking, sweeping, and snow removal.
• Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and summon additional assistance.
• Apply standard principles with limited practical experience; lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Ensure quality of work, work within procedures, and communicate effectively.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lbs, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and stooping.
• Experience using procedures to solve standard problems and analyzing information for judgments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
