Position Details

Job: Maintenance Mechanic

Hours: Full-Time Evenings, 3:30pm-11:30pm, Mon-Fri (occasional weekends, on-call during inclement weather)

Location: Lancaster General Hospital, 555 N Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing maintenance, and installation duties using technical skills and manuals.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on various equipment and systems.
  • Service and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including medical equipment.
  • Order necessary materials and maintain proficiency in emergency procedures.
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to track tasks and priorities.
  • Perform secondary tasks like metal work, piping, and fabrication as needed.
  • Participate in on-call duties and report job status and issues.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Vocational training or trades experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, or industrial controls.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License (not required for Laundry positions).
  • At least 3 years of electrical experience and 2 years of mechanical plumbing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four or more years of electrical experience, three or more years of plumbing, and two or more years in welding, fabrication, or controls.
