Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Union Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install and service fire sprinkler systems. You will join a local union and work on our customer sites, following safety policies and documented procedures.

The role requires at least five years of experience and union eligibility, plus strong teamwork and customer-facing skills. Responsibilities include installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, and training client personnel.

Qualifications

• Willing to become or join the UA Local Union.
• At least 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
• Certified Training required for the role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read and understand design/construction documents.
• Able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone and tablet.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Able to work in a team and provide customer support.
• English verbal and written communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license with limited violations.
• On-call rotation required.
• Ability to train apprentices in proper installation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and installation of fire sprinkler systems aligned with national and local standards.
• Install, repair and maintain wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems and related equipment.
• Complete documentation and repair recommendations.
• Assist management with quotes for repairs and tenant improvements.
• Adhere to structured schedules and maintain documentation of all work.
• Provide customer training on proper operation of systems.

As a Union Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will

• Perform repairs and Installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards.
• Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps
• Complete required documentation, including repair recommendations
• Assist management with quoting repairs and tenant improvements
• Follow and maintain highly structured schedules
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training
• Work overtime when needed
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
• Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care.

Basic Qualifications:

• Willing to become or a member of the UA Local Union
• A minimum of 5 Years of experience working with Fire Sprinkler systems
• Certified Training
• High school diploma or state-recognized GED
• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
• Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
• On-call rotation
• Train apprentices on proper installation technique

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with servicing all types of fixed extinguishing systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
