Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Union Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install, repair, and service fire sprinkler systems in the United States. You will join a UA Local Union, work with a team, read construction documents, and train apprentices while following safety policies and union wage schedules.

Responsibilities include installing various sprinkler systems, completing documentation, and supporting quotes for repairs and tenant improvements. On-call duties and rigorous schedules are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
• Willing to become or be a member of the UA Local Union.
• Certified training and a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and understand design/construction documents.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a team.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• On-call rotation and ability to train apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and installation of fire sprinkler systems per standards.
• Install and maintain wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems and backflow devices.
• Complete documentation and repair recommendations.
• Assist with quotes for repairs and tenant improvements.
• Maintain schedules and complete service tickets on site.
• Provide customer operations training and guidance.

As a Union Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will

• Perform repairs and Installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards.
• Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps
• Complete required documentation, including repair recommendations
• Assist management with quoting repairs and tenant improvements
• Follow and maintain highly structured schedules
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training
• Work overtime when needed
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
• Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

• Willing to become or a member of the UA Local Union
• A minimum of 5 Years of experience working with Fire Sprinkler systems
• Certified Training
• High school diploma or state-recognized GED
• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
• Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
• On-call rotation
• Train apprentices on proper installation technique

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience estimating Service repairs
• Experience with servicing all types of fixed extinguishing systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
