Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to support Gulf Coast branches serving Mobile, AL and surrounding areas. You will install, inspect, and maintain wet/dry/pre-action/deluge sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with all standards and on-site safety requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, NICET I certification (Level II within 60 days), and the ability to work in varied environments. A valid driver's license and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Fire Alarm or Fire Sprinkler installation, testing and/or repair.
• NICET I certification in water-based systems (must obtain Level II within 60 days).
• Ability to work in varied environments around mechanical equipment.
• 18+ years old with valid driver's license; eligible for Siemens fleet program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps.
• Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing.
• Document deficiencies/impairments and report on-site.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.

Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians perform service, repairs, and installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. Our Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians specialized skills, knowledge surround state/federal regulations, and commitment to proper system functioning play a critical role in safeguarding lives, property, and businesses from the devastating effects of fires.

As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will:

• Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps
• Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing
• Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed
• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment. Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience Fire Alarm or Fire Sprinkler in the installation, testing and / or repair of water-based equipment
• NICET I certification in water based systems. (Must be able to complete NICET Level II within 60 days of employment)
• Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 poundsunassisted
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Fire Alarm/Sprinkler installation, testing and repair of water-based equipment
• High school diploma, state-recognized GED, associate, or bachelor's degree preferred
• NICET Level II
• Acecertification

The pay range for this position is $57,120 - $97,920 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
