Siemens Mobility in Laurel, MD is seeking Fire Sprinkler Repair Technicians to service and install water-based fire protection systems across the greater Washington, D.C. area.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of water-based equipment repair experience, a valid driver's license, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience with repair of water-based equipment
  • Able to work in environments around mechanical equipment, including ladders and high-lift equipment
  • Must be 18+ and have a valid driver's license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • 3+ years experience with repair of water-based equipment
  • NICET I inspection and testing of water-based systems

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps
  • Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing
  • Document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment; follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care

Fire Sprinkler Repair Technicians

perform service, repairs, and installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. Our Fire SprinklerRepair Technicians specialized skills, knowledge surround state/federal regulations, and commitment to proper system functioning play a critical role in safeguarding lives, property, and businesses from the devastating effects of fires.

As a Fire Sprinkler Repair Technician , you will:
  • Install, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps
  • Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing
  • Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment. Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, state-recognized GED , a ssociate , or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with repair of water-based equipment
  • Ability and willingness to w ork in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations ; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of ex perience with repair of water-based equipment
  • NICET I inspection and testing of water-based systems or water-based layout

The pay range for this position is $57,820- $99,120 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
