Job summary

Dell Inc. Unified Communications Engineer - Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA onsite with TS/SCI required. You will design, deploy, and maintain next-generation networks to support enterprise IT workloads and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers.

You will drive automation, work with SD-WAN, Open vSwitch, REST APIs, and Kubernetes networking to optimize performance, scalability, and security across critical environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and large-scale WAN design.
• Hands-on work with SD-WAN platforms and centralized policy enforcement.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible automation and REST APIs.
• Secure transport across WANs with IPsec, MACsec, QoS.

Responsibilities

• Create and automate network changes via scripts.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, platforms, and configurations.
• Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Network Architect on fast roll-out of new designs and products.
• Work with Kubernetes networking concepts and CNI.
• Configure MetalLB and load balancing for bare metal clusters.
