Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Network Automation Engineer - Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA to design, deploy, and maintain critical network infrastructure. The role focuses on automating deployment and operations of enterprise networks and requires a TS/SCI clearance.

You will work with networking hardware, software-defined control planes, and a diverse team of engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and performant networks.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise WAN architectures.
• Proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms and centralized policy enforcement.
• Proficiency with Python and automation for network configurations.
• Experience with REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and data formats like JSON/YAML/XML.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes through automation
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues; including Linux systems and networking tools
• Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure compliance with policies
• Drive and support innovation from data center to network edge and everything in between
• Collaborate with Network Architect to ensure design rollout and deployment of network infrastructure
• Assist with deployment and sustaining of tooling and designs
• Proficient in Python or Go for automation and tooling
• Familiar with Kubernetes networking concepts and CNI usage
• Configure, deploy, and maintain MetalLB for load balancing on bare metal clusters
