Job summary

Averro is seeking an experienced Unified Communications Engineer to manage on-prem and hybrid Microsoft Exchange and Teams Voice environments. On-site in Renton, WA, you will support Cisco voice integrations and drive UC architecture, standards, and documentation while contributing to 24/7 on-call coverage.

You will deploy updates, ensure high availability, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable communications solutions in a large enterprise context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, administering, and troubleshooting Exchange Online and hybrid/on-prem Exchange.
• Expertise in Unified Communications architecture, standards, and procedures.
• Experience supporting Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 in a large enterprise.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience configuring email security devices and SaaS solutions.
• Microsoft product deployment with high availability and DR.
• Project management track record; strong communication and organization.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain on-prem/hybrid MS Exchange, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and MS Teams environments.

• Perform system upgrades, patching, version management, and security updates.
• Monitor capacity and system performance for tuning or upgrades.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation; up to 10% domestic and international travel.
• Provide technical support to users at all organizational levels.

Job Title: Unified Communications Engineer (Microsoft Exchange / Teams Voice) Location: Renton, WA onsite Pay Rate: $120-150K Employment Type: Direct Hire

• Project management track record; strong communication and organization
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field

Bonus Qualifications

• Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Azure, and Microsoft Purview experience
• Voice services and Cisco/MS Teams integration experience
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate, or Teams Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
