Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in Boston, MA seeks an Underwriting Technician for our Property Division. The UT assists underwriting with proposals, rating, and documentation for new business, renewals, and midterm changes.
The role is based in our Boston office and requires collaboration with underwriters and brokers. You will help with file preparation, data gathering, and quotes, while ensuring accuracy and timely processing in a dynamic environment.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Technician for our Property Division. The Underwriting Technician (UT) is integral to supporting our underwriting team, performing tasks as part of our underwriting process, which includes proposal and bind transactions for our property business. The UT will also perform underwriting activities associated with information gathering and rating for new business, renewals, and midterm changes. Additionally, the UT will assist with electronic file preparation on behalf of the Underwriter. The role is based in our Boston, MA office.
The base salary range for this position is from $60K - $70K along with annual bonus eligibility; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills, experience and location.
