Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) invites experienced underwriters to join the Professional Liability team as Architects & Engineers (A&E) underwriter. You will assess design professional risks, underwrite complex policies, and engage with brokers and clients to build a profitable book.

Locations include New York, Boston, Stevens Point, Atlanta or Chicago; the role emphasizes collaboration, prudent risk selection, and delivering innovative solutions backed by the Berkshire Hathaway

Qualifications

• 10+ years of underwriting experience preferred; candidates with a minimum of 3 years of A&E underwriting experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong technical skills in analyzing design professional risks.

Salary & Compensation

The base salary range for this position in New York is from $110,000 to $200,000, along with annual bonus eligibility; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
