Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams, gather requirements, review for completeness, and submit to carriers and lenders. You will track exams and APS requests, update Salesforce Chatter, and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up efforts.
Monitor each case throughout underwriting and escalate issues to the Case Manager when needed.
Work with carriers to issue policies.
Draft informal and formal cover letters for Case Manager review.
Maintain underwriting files and prepare underwriting correspondence.
