AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams, gather requirements, and manage underwriting processes for life insurance policies. The role interacts with internal staff and clients, tracks exams, updates Salesforce Chatter, and assists with policy servicing throughout the year.

You'll work to ensure complete underwriting files, draft correspondence, and help maintain timely policy funding while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
• Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up efforts.
• Monitor each case throughout underwriting and escalate issues to the Case Manager as needed.
• Work with carriers to issue policies.
• Download application kits and populate information for Case Manager review.
• Draft informal and formal cover letters for Case Manager review.
• Assist clients with routine policy service requests and annual requirements.
• Maintain underwriting files and enter case information and status updates in Salesforce and Salesforce Chatter.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Case Manager and underwriting team.
