Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 2+ years insurance experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial lines rating/underwriting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of an Associate Underwriter Team.
• Ensure service standards and quality objectives are met.
• Coach, train and mentor the team including new hires.
• Monitor day-to-day processing and staff performance.
• Ensure documented procedures and training materials are up to date.
• Provide timely feedback on quality and production.
• Respond to escalated calls and emails; manage escalations.
• Operate within underwriting authority as delegated.
