Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support senior underwriters with risk assessment, loss runs, and rate computations. This role is developing and requires a focus on accuracy and collaboration across teams.

Candidates must be located within commutable distance to Buffalo, NY or Carlsbad, CA, or remote from Lincoln, NE or Phoenix, AZ. The role offers a starting hourly pay with comprehensive benefits and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of P&C underwriting or underwriting support experience.
• CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or P&C broker license a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
• Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and work in hybrid/remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess loss history and current financial condition for a case.
• Review risk submissions to identify errors and eligibility.
• Assist senior underwriter with rate and premium computations as needed.
• Collaborate with underwriting team to finalize applications efficiently.
• Use multiple databases to gather and verify data for submissions.
• Manage inbound calls and coordinate with customers and team members.
• Provide guidance and support tailored to insurance needs.
• Process accounts from quotes through policy issuance with accuracy.
