Job summary

Stillwater Insurance Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Underwriting Support Manager to provide leadership for processing and support teams. Lead hiring, coaching, and performance management while ensuring service excellence for agents and policyholders.

You will oversee workflows, escalate complex issues, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced insurance environment based in Florida.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentoring, and guidance to Processing and Support team members.
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
Address performance concerns and administer corrective action when appropriate.
Promote teamwork and support employee engagement and development initiatives.
Monitor, review, and manage work queues to ensure timely, accurate task completion within service levels.
Lead process improvements and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Serve as primary escalation point for complex issues and assist agents, insureds, and internal partners.
