Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Underwriting Manager for Meritain Health to lead the underwriting team, mentor staff, and drive consistency across the unit. You will manage workflows, coach underwriters, and oversee risk analysis for new and renewal business while aligning pricing with client needs.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in underwriting, 2+ years in medical insurance, and 2+ years of leadership. Strong Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting, financial analysis, pricing methodologies, and/or funding arrangements.
• 2+ years of medical insurance experience: brokers, carriers, TPAs, or policy analysis.
• 2+ years of prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new and renewal business.
• Prepare quotes, questionnaires, and financial projections of varying complexity.
• Apply underwriting guidelines and negotiate terms within authority; balance membership, revenue, and profitability.
