Job summary

Breeze Labs, Inc. is hiring a Financial Underwriting Lead to own underwriting decisions from application through ongoing monitoring.

You will combine corporate credit analysis with sharp financial judgment to determine terms, reserves, and exposure for a growing portfolio of merchants. In this hands-on role, you will build and refine underwriting policy and scorecards while using AI and data tooling to speed reviews.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of corporate debt underwriting experience.
• Ability to form a view from incomplete, unaudited financials.
• Fluency with financial statements and cash flow analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new merchant applications: analyze financials, funding, runway/burn, unit economics.
• Set reserves, holdbacks, volume caps and exposure limits.
• Run portfolio re-reviews and adjust terms as merchant risk changes.
• Build and maintain underwriting policy, scorecard, and exposure reporting.
• Use AI/data tooling to speed up file review and decisioning.
• Partner with Sales, Treasury Ops, Risk/Compliance, and bank diligence.
