Job summary

Zurich North America is offering a Summer 2027 Underwriting Internship in Boston. You will work alongside experienced underwriting professionals, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to meaningful projects that impact customers and communities.

As an intern, you will learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship, support financial reporting and analysis, and assist with reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Enrolled in Fall 2027; current student.
• Two or more years of college coursework; rising Junior or Senior.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands‑on training.
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and BI tools.
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities.
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings.
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry.
